The project aims at increasing the resilience of school-aged children and improving their access to education, through a complementary feeding program for 17,402 school-going children from 103 schools in seven communes within Ampanihy district, one of the eight districts most affected by El Niño in southern Madagascar.

The specific objectives of the project are to:
Improve nutritional status of students,
Reduce absenteeism rate,
Involve stakeholders, including teaching staff, local community and private sector in the school feeding program,
Improve access to water, sanitation, and hygiene.
Implemented activities
Fortified rice distribution, school garden, distribution of seeds and agricultural tools, water point rehabilitation or construction, school supplies distribution.
